A Laborious Labor Union Commitment For Dennis L. Martire
Fighting intensely for the rights of others is not a simple job. It’s one that few people bravely take on. It’s often a thankless role. But Dennis L. Martire has put his heart and soul into fighting for workers across the mid-Atlantic area of the United States, and he’s done so for nearly 30 years.
Martire humbly belonged to his local union chapter, #1058 based in Pittsburgh, before joining the ranks of the Laborers’ International Union of North America as an employee. In 1990, he started in the position of international representative. And through many triumphs for labor union workers — including starting new labor unions and helping to increase worker wages — he advanced in LIUNA into the elected role of vice president and regional manager for the mid-Atlantic region. From this point of leadership, he continues to pour everything into the rights of unionized workers, striving continuously for the best working environments and benefits for each of these men and women.
